| | | Walter Flint GalleryWalter Flint is 25 year resident of Yosemite National. Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Walter first traveled to Yosemite in 1981 when he completed a 790-mile solo hike of the Pacific Crest Trail from Yosemite Valley to the California – Oregon Border. His love of backpacking first brought him to the Western United States and that love of wilderness travel got him interested in landscape and nature photography. Walter is a former Yosemite Mountaineering School guide and P.S.I.A Nordic Ski Instructor. He has climbed many of the great granite monoliths in Yosemite Valley including the 3000 ft face of El Capitan. Walter’s photography has been widely published and he holds an A.A.S. degree in Professional Photography from Colorado Mountain College. His experience in photographing Yosemite, coupled with his history of teaching people to climb and ski make him the consummate instructor / guide for learning how to photograph the natural wonder of Yosemite. |

| | | Robb Hirsch GalleryRobb Hirsch prefers to photograph away from the crowds, often visiting previously scouted locations off the beaten path. Photography is part of the wilderness experience for him, and by spending considerable time exploring, scouting and waiting for the right light, he becomes more in tune with the area, ultimately culminating in more evocative images. Robb works very carefully in the field with techniques to properly capture the moment, minimizing time needed in front of a computer to “fix” problems. Robb’s images are known for their compelling subjects, careful compositions and fine light.

| | In 2002, Robb and his wife started Mountain Sage, a combination art gallery and plant nursery and gardens, just outside Yosemite National Park, in Groveland. His photography is also on display online at robbhirschphoto.com. |

| | | Peter David Lee GalleryPeter David Lee has had an extensive and international photographic background from London to Singapore including a professional wedding, portraiture and commercial photographic studio in Sonora, California. He was given a Kodak box brownie camera when he was barely ten and still remembers using British “Gratispool” film with a rather strange paper negative. He has been photographing a variety of subjects ever since, but with more modern camera equipment that ranges from an Arca Swiss 4 x 5, comprehensive medium format and 35 mm film outfits as well as several digital cameras.
| |
| | It was with a very early digital camera that Peter won a coveted Distinction in print photography at the 2004 Welsh Photographic Federation Salon in 2004. “I thought I would be controversial and enter a panel of twelve prints entitled: The Wildflowers of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. I felt that would be a novelty in Wales.” Peter was awarded an Associate of the Welsh Photographic Federation (AWPF) Distinction, 2004, for the Panel and is finalizing his Ph.D. with the University of Wales. His images have appeared in Shutterbug and numerous photo exhibitions winning international acclaim. Peter teaches in the Humanities and Philosophy Department at Columbia College. |

| John DeGrazio Yosemite ContributionsLife began for Y explore in July 2003 on the Half Dome Trail when Catherine and John DeGrazio shared a desire to create an adventure company that led park visitors in search of unique Yosemite photo opportunities. John is a naturalist hiking guide and writer, but not quite qualified to be considered a photographer. However, there are many great locations he visits throughout his journeys and here are some images he would like to share. |
