Travis Workman was raised in the foothill town of Sonora, California. At an early age he was introduced to the scenic beauty of Tuolumne County on camping and hiking trips with his family. He has hiked and backpacked countless miles in the Sierra Nevada range where he developed the leadership and survival skills necessary for guiding in Yosemite National Park.

As an athlete, Travis has participated in numerous team sports including soccer, swimming, basketball, and his favorite, baseball. In 2008 Travis was named a captain of the Sonora High School varsity baseball program, and he learned many valuable lessons in team building.

A recent graduate of Sonora High School, Travis feels fortunate for the opportunity to work in such a beautiful setting while being afforded the chance to meet so many interesting people on the hikes he enjoys tremendously.
