HIKING GUIDES
Zeb Drivdahl
Naturalist Hiking Guide
(Hiking Tours)
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Zeb was exposed to the outdoors from an early age. His early outdoor experience ranged from afternoon outings with the family dog at a wildlife refuge next door to his house to week long backpacking trips in the Cascades. After a 4 year stay in Pittsburgh, PA for college, he moved out to California in the summer of 2000 and immediately fell in love with the Sierra Nevada.
Since he moved 8 years ago, Zeb has had extensive experience in the Sierra on both a recreational and community service level. He earned his EMT certificate while volunteering with Placer County Search and Rescue and received extensive training in navigation, rope rescue, wilderness survival and tracking. He has also worked as a volunteer ranger for the National Forest Service doing wilderness patrols, visitor use studies, and issuing backcountry permits. His recreation time spent in the Sierra includes frequent multi day backpacking trips in Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, including a trip up Mount Whitney. He also enjoys day hikes in Yosemite and the surrounding areas with his wife and dog.
