David Murphy is a photographer, writer, and restless transplant based in Yosemite National Park. He has led wilderness expeditions up to 48 days across North America and is an avid climber, canoeist, and camp chef. With a degree in Environmental Science, Policy, & Law from the University of Minnesota.
He has spent time cultivating his own vision of outdoor education and its needed place in our society, as well as developing positive and uplifting solutions to the global environmental change we are going through today. He is currently serving as a team member on Yosemite Valley Search and Rescue Team (YOSAR). In his free time you can find him hacky sacking, climbing or reading by the river.
