March 2016 Yosemite Instagram Month in Review

March came in like a lion. Early storms added to our snowpack which boosted the waterfalls in Yosemite National Park. The days received an extra hour of light as we sprung forward with daylight savings. Spring is the season for Yosemite waterfalls.  Record crowds continue to rush to the waterfalls which continue to be the main attraction in Yosemite Valley. There are over 12 waterfalls in Yosemite Valley. The most popular are Bridalveil, Yosemite, Vernal, and Nevada. Did you ever see Ribbon, Staircase, Lehamite, or Sentinel?

The Mist Trais now open so it is a great time for viewing Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall. Hetch Hetchy is also a great alternative to Yosemite Valley with splendid views of Wapama and Tueeulala. Say Tueeulala five times fast.

Here are some of the most popular photos from our March 2016 Yosemite Instagram with 150 likes or more. There are many more on our feed so please follow and share to help us build our audience @yexplore.

Photographing with a camera phone was once frowned upon as a lazy way out of making an image. With advancing technology, these phones are becoming more integral in everyday “outdoor” life. I am currently using the iPhone 6s with an 12 megapixel camera and will share the world of Yosemite through my phone.
