Even the dead trees add Fall Color to Yosemite Valley. Many people are alarmed by all the dead conifers in the Sierra Nevada. The @latimes reports there are now 102M dead trees and counting since this 5+ year drought began. I may be in the minority but I do not yet see this as catastrophic. We have historically overpopulated forests that need natural thinning. I believe this is nature’s way of correcting the anthropogenic imbalances in the Sierra from past forest practices. Time will tell. #yosemite #halfdome #fallcolors #fallcolours

Photographing with a camera phone was once frowned upon as a lazy way out of making an image. With advancing technology, these phones are becoming more integral in everyday “outdoor” life. I am currently using the iPhone 6s with a 12 megapixel camera and will share the world of Yosemite through my phone. – John P. DeGrazio
