Yosemite visitors may choose two different types of reservations in 2024. A person can make a Full Day reservation to enter the park by vehicle at anytime. Additionally, visitors can also make an Afternoon reservation to enter Yosemite after 12 p.m. All YExplore Yosemite Vehicle Reservation Permits will be full day reservations. You will then be able to enjoy other parts of Yosemite after your tour is finished.

Yosemite Vehicle Reservations can be made on January 5, 2024 at 8 a.m. PST on Recreation.gov/timed-entry/10086745. Additionally, full day and afternoon reservations will be available one week prior to a visit. The reservation holder must be in the arriving vehicle and present a photo ID at the entrance station. Book a guided Yosemite tour with YExplore Yosemite Adventures, and you will subsequently receive Yosemite Vehicle Reservation Permits with every outing.

Visit Yosemite in spring and summer on a YExplore guided hike, and we will have a reservation for you. Explore rich landscapes and resplendent waterfalls with an eperienced local guide. Above all, each YExplore guide shares the natural world with all our guests.

We also offer limited permits for guided Half Dome hikes. Half Dome is Yosemite’s most recognizable icon. It’s also the most strenuous hike in the Valley. Check back with us in April to see which dates are available.

Visitors do not need Yosemite Vehicle Reservation Permits from late October until mid April, however. Choose a winter activity like a guided snowshoe hike December through March. Explore some of Yosemite’s most excting trails under a blanket of snow. This is a perfect activity for any level of hiker. For instance, beginner hikers can choose a hike in a gaint sequoia grove. Choose the extended snowshoe hike to Dewey Point for an even greater challenge. In conclusion, both options are perfect winter activities.
